 Punkin's first ever powdered donut. Later in the afternoon was followed by this massive tantrum because I thought she wanted me to color with chalk WITH her when she "invited" me to come sit outside with her. (She is a very demanding hostesss.) Little did I know, I was just supposed to watch her color. Well, the tantrum showed me!

 Today was color run day. So this is my photo of the day- my hair post race! Below are before and after photos from the race. We had lots of fun! So this means I get to check off my 5k race from my 30before30. My time wasn't great, but it wasn't awful. The color run isn't a timed race, so I can only go by approximates, and that would take me to around an 11 min mile, but I didn't get sick, which was a first for me for an altitude run! Now I just need to get back to my 8:30 5k splits and I'll feel better about myself.

And today's bonus photo is Punkin in a spinny seat at the playground. She had fun. So did KC, until he spun a few too many times. He was dizzy for a while after that.

Today we went to church. Punkin decided to play a little too much with a hymn book and ripped a page. I had to just take a moment and remember that almost every little kid has done something similar and that a little tape can solve the problem.

A little family time on the trampoline. (Or backaswing if you are the munchkin.) Punkin loves running in circles on the thing (ring around the rosey style) and also jumping high! (which is like an inch before she falls down.)

Happy Anniversary to my love!!! We had a fun date night (Thanks Nana for watching the little one!) and KC made me this thoughtful gift. Now I just need to get it framed!  I was a little less original with my gift, the typical was leather for a 3rd Anniversary, so I gave him a new belt. He needed one, that's a good enough reason, right?

I spent a lot of today in bed. Not like sick in bed, but doing projects on my bed. (Laying out quilts, sorting through boxes, etc.) It only seemed appropriate to take a photo of what I see from bed....

This is my absolutely awful mother's day family photo. It was the best that was taken, and they were the only photos from today. At least my family looks cute even though I look dreadful.

I do want to say Happy Mother's Day to my mommy. I've been a slacker lately and distant due to the move and trying to adjust to my new time zone and not being in the same time zone as you. Thanks for everything you've taught me through the years and thanks for being a listening ear now that I'm an adult. I love you!

1. We got back to our normal routine by starting the day with Elmo. 2. Makeup bag for makeup in the car. 3. Dad ringing the bell at the Transportation Museum 4. Like the biggest train I've ever seen. 5. Punkin and I riding in a Model T. 6. Dad and Punkin riding in classic Jeep! 7. Punkin forced me to go down the slide. so fun! 8. Exploring the new playground! 9. Punkin figured out how to climb up this for the first time ever today (with help) 10. Oh my gosh, Suburban Grocery Store Maddness! Talk about culture shock, it wasn't like shopping in DC, that is for sure! 11. We built a new clothing rack to compensate for our lack of anywhere to put our hang up clothes. Go us. 12. Story time book pile! We read a whole pile before bed tonight!

Kansas and Colorado are boring to drive through. Parts of Kansas were so windy it blew my bike rack nearly clear off my car!
Driving Day 4: - Slowly plodded through the rest of Kansas
- Car started making funny noises just 60 miles from our final destination argh.
- Finally made it to Colorado!
- 2 States: KS and CO!

- Got pounded by rain outside of Independance all of the way until like Lawrence
- Didn't end up staying with friends :( So sad.

- Drove through INDY!
- Found this crazy little small town America place to stay for the night outside of St. Louis.
- Ate at a little local diner and then got ice cream! hooray!

After a crazy first day of driving, we made it to grey, thunderstorm, scary driving conditions, Columbus. On a happier note, here is Punkin somewhere near the MD/PA line playing with a dandelion. Precious, huh? I love the car hair.
Drive day 1: -Turned in our Keys
-Had to scratch off our parking decal off of our car and return the dust from the scraping. Ridiculous.
-Drove in 5 states (VA, MD, PA, WV, and OH)
-Had fun playing with family outside of Columbus!

All our stuff, after a lot of work and a lot of help from some amazing friends, packed up to move across country. I think I want to cry, but I'm too tired.  This has been exhausting.

 Our last trip up to the DC temple. A few scraped knees, the grown-ups had a chance to go inside while the little one played.
