Toddler Tech class at the mall was a joke, but at least we had fun playing with the toys and getting a snack!

My little one wanted to watch the RNC with us instead of going to bed. We let her as long as she stayed tucked in!
My cute little skirt model! That girl loves her the cozy coupe!
And I couldn't not post this photo with her funny facial expression.

Cute things day! 1. My cute girl with her current bff. (Though shortly after this photo was taken they got covered in ants that were biting them like crazy. yikes! Oh, and this photo doesn't show it that well, but Punkin's face is scrapped up pretty good here as well. Rough day I guess.)
My cute brownies that I took to the girls I visit teach. Those brownies - YUM! They care complete calorie bombs though! Ask if you want the recipe for these carmel chocolate pieces of delight.
And the cute new skirt that  I made Punkin. If anyone wants a doll skirt in the same print, I accidentally cut it wrong and didn't realize it until it was time to attach the waist band! woops.

Playground monster! Today was kind of a day of let downs. We made a play date at the playground, and they didn't show. Then, due to some weird scheduling, our dinner plans were canceled. At least we know how to have fun by ourselves. We were sorting out the rocks from the woodchips at the playground for a good 30 min. So it goes.

Punkin loves to bring everyone their shoes as we are trying to get out the door. She grabbed Daddy's shoes, even though he wasn't at home, so she decided to put them on herself. Def. big shoes to fill!

I couldn't decide which photo use today. Punkin going and moving to the end of the pew all by herself and sitting all proper before church started...
...or her finding that I had the Disney Jr. app on my phone.....

The single clue of how to enter our restaurant tonight for dinner. It was so fun and the food was great. If you are ever in Denver, check out Bang!
Punkin's first hike! She actually walked a decent amount of it!
KC with G-pa and Grandma J at the top of the hike!
KC decided to try some bouldering. He made it higher than the rest of us. (I didn't want Punkin bouldering..)
There was boccee. I lost. I let the guys play more, but I was done after getting creamed one too many times.
I love this pic of Punkin and G-pa. I just wish there wasn't a dumpster in the background.
And my delicious dinner. Shrimp risotto? yes please. We love having visitors come in town. It has been a great weekend!

So many fun photos from today, but this had to be the coolest. We went to Tiny Town up in the mountains (barely) and this deer, with a few friends, were hanging out right by the train tracks we were riding on. I mean, my camera was zoomed all of the way out, that is how close this baby was.
KC jumping off the swings. (This is one of our favorite adult playground activities- photographing one another jumping off the swings.)
Punkin and G-pa going down the slide. Love!
Like father like son, rocking the swings!
Free ice cream at lunch from the restaurant? Of course my little one wouldn't turn that down!

My little engineer LOVES trains!

She also loves Grandma and "monies." Here she is playing with monies with Grandma. How great is life for her?
Inside the Tiny Town prison. Hopefully that is her only time in prison ever.
Look at my girl running to me. Warms my heart.
We were at the mall. We saw this fountain. Punkin saw all the "monies" inside. She got so excited. Thank goodness we were on the second floor and didn't end up with a soggy kid!

At dinner we were at this cute little restaurant. While they made our dinner, they let Punkin have her own dough to play with. She love playing with the dough more than eating her dinner. Go figure.

Spinning in Dad's office chair is so much fun! Esp. when Dad's co-worker bribes her with a cookie.
Punkin insisted on putting her bear on her back before I left her to sleep. At least it wasn't a monkey on her back, right?

Today there were wiggles. What is the best way to get out wiggles? Dancing, of course. Best place? In front of an audience! Punkin's chosen audience - the diners at the local 5 Guys while we were waiting for our food. It is tricky to get a good photo of a whirling dervish on a phone camera though!

Sometimes you have lots of fake boo boos that need fake band-aids. Then there are times that the fake band aids are used for a fashion statement. Which one is it? Your guess is as good as mine.

We were suckers today and let our kid ride the merri-go-round as she begged and begged to ride the horsey. She was great for the first min. or two. After than she just kept saying "Mommy, I need down." She doesn't realize how spoiled she is, does she?
Well, that was lunchtime. Before lunch, Punkin and I tagged along to the town where KC had a meeting. We found a nearby playground while he worked. It was a blast.
Later that evening, KC had to work over dinner time, so we met him at this grassy spot in town. After we finished our little picnic, he went back to work while Punkin and I ran sprints across the grass. She thought it was GREAT fun!

We also enjoyed the flowers while we talked to the gardener about how she takes care of all of the plants in the public spaces in town. Punkin learned all about how plants eat and grown. I learned that milkweed produces a latex based substance. We all learned something new!

I am trying to fall in love with this western landscape. It is a struggle, but I am trying. Do you see the horse in the distance? This is only like 2 miles from where we live. This is also the only natural water source in town. How is an aquarian supposed to survive?

KC insisted on taking these photos of me and the munchkin  after church. Aren't we cute?

Punkin decided to use her blankey as a beach towel to lay out while watching a movie. Silly girl. Oh yeah, and she also picked out her outfit here. yikes!
When we took our Sunday night walk, Punkin RAN for a mile. She did it in about 30 min. Not bad for those little legs!

I have spent way too long lately helping to work on these chairty quilts. I know I won't be the only one who is thankful when this project is done.

Punkin selected her own outfit today. I think there is nothing cooler than a tinkerbell on a motorcycle!

We have been introducing Punkin to board games lately. She loves playing with the cards most of all.

I picked up this hat, years ago, in Thailand. Punkin and KC found it today. They were having loads of fun with it.

Blogger keeps roatating this photo even though I tell it not to. Either way, I had to retire an old friend today. It kind of hurt. At least I don't have to pay that car tax bill that just came in the mail. That is an upside.
...and a cute one of Punkin and her little friend using the kid table as a fort. Being 2 is so much fun.

Punkin and I played this "run across the back yard" game for about an hour today. Too make it more interesting for me, I was doing high knees, lunges, etc. This made Punkin laugh, a lot. It also resulted in her not paying attention to what she was doing. We had to stop and kiss skinned knees at least 4 times.
What started it all? This chalk drawing of Punkin as drawn by my SIL. I think it is pretty spot on as far as a chalk drawing goes. Punkin kept wanting to run over the picture of herself. (Why, I don't know. That was pretty weird.)

August 12 on 12

1. Sunday breakfast of pancakes and bacon. yum. 2. Shoes on the wrong feet. She insisted on doing it herself today. It was perfect except for the whole wrong feet t4hing. 3. A little photo of us while we were working on updating our bucket list. 4. KC smoked us on the marble soccer game. In my denfense, there was two of us vs. one of him, and Punkin kept getting in my way. ;) 5. Punkin on the motorcycle. I'd be okay if this were the only motorcycle that she ever rides. 6. We were at this park. Punkin kept going back to the patch of "big grass." It was her home base or something. She also loved running through it. It was tender and funny. 7. KC and Punkin fighting over the frisbee. So fun. 8. Buffalo on the side of the road. You don't see this in DC. 9. Pretty view of the mountains about 2 hours before sunset. 10. I grilled some chicken for dinner. This piece looked particularly photo worthy. 11. We watched a little of closing ceremonies of the olympics before we decided they were just too weird to be enjoyable. 12. One of Punkin's favorite bedtime stories. We like this one too.
