 Rocking out with Elmo. For like an Hour! That is a lot of Elmo's 6 songs over and over. I even hid in the bathroom reading the Economist for a while. Then she found me, she made me sing and dance again.

 Someone got sworn in for the 3rd time today! This time, with everyone else infront of the court! It was a cool experience for all.

Moving Day! Punkin's car is loving all the space in the garage. When you have a one car garage, a cozy coupe  parking there provides for plenty of storage space!

Tonight we decorated pumpkins. We just used markers on dollar store pumpkins since we are moving this week. My little Punkin LOVED it. I think it is easy to say that she loves markers. (Esp. the fat ones where she can put the lids on her fingers.)

Things I Like About Colorado

1. Sunsets
2. The altitude supposedly helps Jr's lungs for her whole life
3. Animal life is all around to see.
4. Much more reasonable rent than DC
5. Tons of parks and playgrounds (even if they aren't ever quite as busy as our parks back in Virginia.)
6. Water boils faster
7. Lots of sunshine (why aren't there more solar panels?)
8. We have a job here
9. Lots of running trails
10.The mountains make a pretty backdrop.

That doesn't mean I still don't have a few grudges. I hate that you make me hate running. Oh, and I hate how I have used more lotion in the past 6 months than I have in the 3 years prior.

 We tried to go to the pumpkin patch to take photos today. The lighting was tricky. The background often was littered with cars and shops. And, worst of all, my subject was unwilling.

 There was dancing.

 There were food bribes.

 There was a silly aunt dancing around trying to get her to smile.

What made her happiest? Holding the camera herself.

 I voted tonight. I knew there were lots of other candidates. I had no idea HOW many presidential candidates would be on the ballot. What scares me are the number of socialist parties.... eep.

While trying to find a place to live today, we stopped at Burger King for lunch. Punkin was thrilled about her crown.

I let Punkin watercolor on a canvas today. She had fun. Her favorite part was blotting it with paper towel. Well that and using the big brush that could get two or three colors at a time. Mommy helped some at the end, but all in all, I think she did a great job herself.

We checked out a town house this afternoon. There were deer EVERYWHERE. It was crazy cool, but Punkin was worried about the poop. :)

Picking out prizes after teaching our girl the beauty of ski ball at the family fun center.

 The only part of the indoor play place our girl would explore. She loves outdoor playgrounds, but hates indoor ones. Strange.

 Aunt B made pumpkin pancakes. B wanted a hug in this photo, Punkin wanted the pancake.

Everything about this photo makes me laugh.

1.Early morning at the auto shop. Why does it have to cost $100 every time you need a diagnoistic run? 2. Punkin showing off her musical skills (Daddy had a surprise day off and she had to perform!)
3. This photo got cut off for the collage, but Punkin has about 200 marbles in her shirt. I think this might be the end of the onsie now that she sees it as a pocket. 4. Homemade spicy chicken salad. Yum. 5. Fall leaves. The vast majority around here are bright yellow. 6. The view on my walk today. Over the hill there were horses! Fun! 7. Toys R Us. She always goes straight to the train tables and then pitches a fit when we have to go before I let her play with all of the toys. I always have to rip her off the trains (like we don't have them at home?) 8. We couldn't leave the toy store without a fire truck ride. Problem? My jeans had a hidden RFID that was setting off the alarm when I took this photo.  Embarrassing! 9. Ikea elevator dance party. So Much Fun! 10. Punkin had to jump on every bed in the kids section of Ikea. Every bed. 11. Checking out was also a fun game. 12. Snuggles with Aunt A!

The first light of day on our fateful day. Today was a pivot point for us, and KC passed the bar and got the job. Saved me from a complete nervous break down. Hooray!

Sometimes in parenting you need to make deals with your kids. Today's deal resulted in Punkin getting fruit snacks and a happy meal. Somehow I feel like she won.
