With KC working late a lot, I got bored and decided to teach myself how to crochet. My original thought was that I could give it to E for her baby dolls for Christmas. Seeing how long it takes a beginner like me, She'll be lucky to get it for her birthday. I hope that there is an internet tutorial to show me how to finish it!

 Punkin and I decorated our tree today. I think she had more fun playing games with all the ornaments than putting them on the tree. Not going to lie, I love how many of the ornaments ended up on the bottom 1/4 of the tree. (Esp. Right where she is putting them on in this photo.)

And, I finished this awesome baby blanket for a friend. They are huge football fans and aren't finding out the gender in advance, so it seemed like the perfect gender neutral baby gift. (The back is the fabric for their team. It was "fun" learning to sew knit and woven together. Grandma-we need to talk before I try this again!)

 The moon tonight had a really cool looking halo. None of the photos I took really captured the beauty of it all. Maybe someday my photography will get good enough to capture that kind of beauty. Until then, this was my best shot from tonight.

In other news, Punkin and I decided to sketch out some little Christmas drawings. This one was part of mine, Punkin's looked more like a Christmas tree from the inside looking out. ;)

I had to get up EARLY to take Grammy and Grandpa to the airport. It left me in zombie mode for the rest of the morning. Needless to say, when Punkin got restless, we headed out to McD's for some lunch, to get our wiggles out (it got cold today!) and to find a smile. ;)

Merry Snowflake Day! We had a little early Christmas celebration with Grammy and Grandpa while they were in town. Someone decided that she would make the perfect Christmas elf. She was right. :) Obviously, her favorite part was opening up the presents! Now she has to wait another month to open up more presents!

 Grandpa was introducing Punkin to some of her family history. She is distantly related to Daniel Boon you know.... She had to experience the coon skin cap!

They also had a tipi on sight. Punkin thought it was the perfect place to dance. She convinced us all to dance with her. (Who could say no to that face?)

We had a wonderful teppanyaki dinner after a day of black friday shopping (busiest store, home depot. who would have guessed?) Here, Grandpa is trying to take away Grammy's toy (aka noise makers!) Grammy and Punkin had been playing drummer!

Someone found herself a new car at Costco. Too bad for her, we don't have a yard or a garage where she can store it. She does look pretty adorable driving a mini cooper!

 My first construction project! I made a little console table to hide our wires and such. Once I get the house all organized maybe I'll post pictures of it all put together.

Riding the "airplane" while waiting for Grammy's flight to land. Once Grammy called, Punkin got all worried about getting Grammy out of the planes that were flying overhead. It was super cute. (And super fun to get Grammy all to ourselves for a few days!)

We went to a soda shop called Squeak! It was fun. Punkin loved her half pink, half purple schnozberry soda! It was super sweet (made with cane sugar) but a fun little family outting!!!

While I might not love the skirt/UGG combo on grown-ups, I do LOVE it on little girls. Double standard? Yep. But I have lots of double standards of things that 2 year olds are allowed to do that 22 year olds are not, so I have no problem sleeping at night regarding skirts and Uggs.

1. Someone told me that pumpkin pancakes make her tummy feel good. How could I resist? 2. Punkin playing Mulan. Apparently General Chang gave it to her. 3. The White House now has to respond to at least one of those petitions. This will be interesting. 4. MORE bookcases. 5. Punkin's balls get a chair. She doesn't want any toy to feel left out. 6. Poney needed her hair done. Mommy did the honor. 7. Punkin loves to cook with me. 8. Another cold night, so we went to the mall playground again. Girlfriend was in love. 9. Toys can be super fun, even inside the box. 10. I am a sucker for the puppies. How can we not stop at the pet store to check out the sleeping puppy piles. 11. Daddy Daughter train time! They both had a ball. 12. And last but not least, snuggling with the honey infront of the TV at the end of the night. :)

I LOVE when my muchkin snuggles me. This was such a super sweet Sunday snuggle after a very long night. (Long story short, around 3am Punkin got to come into the big bed. She thought she won the lotto and therefore didn't let either of us get that much sleep. That makes for a LONG Sunday....)

Oh, and also today I went to a special meeting at church while Daddy and Daughter had some adventures of their own. This was seriously one of the most beautiful LDS church buildings that I've seen.

Seriously. Who decided that woodchips were a good idea on playgrounds? Regardless of the shoes, we always have to stop at least once to get out the "pokey." So annoying. I miss our Virginia playgrounds with rubber turf....

 Today was a fun IKEA building day. :)

 This little girl was LOVING being outside. We played with bubbles, we danced in the grass, it was a great time.

 Punkin loves the play area at the mall!

Even more than the play area? She loves riding the train around the mall.

On our run/walk/playground fest this morning, Punkin and I found that we live less than a mile away from a frisbee golf place. Maybe we should learn how to play so we can have a tournament with my Brother-in-Law when he gets home from his mission!
