One of the great things about heading out of the fiery west was that we got to see some fireworks. Punkin LOVED them. There were lots of highlights from today. Here are a few highlights.

Chocolate "Pickle" for breakfast! Thanks Grandpa! (Pickle came from "Bagel" which is what she calls doughnuts since the only other time in her life she'd had a doughnut was just a hole.)  She calls watermelon marshmallow, so she had pickles and marshmallows for breakfast. haha.

Baby-Grandpa nap time. Tender!

When did this girl get big enough to graduate from high school? I remember when she was born! We had loads of fun at her party!  

This little bathing beauty had so much fun by the pool. She got the big kids to play catch with her, she chatted up the grown-ups, and there was LOTS of splashing! Too bad Mommy forgot her suit.... she was SOAKED!

Did you know you can get Cold Stone catered? Punkin LOVED that fact, she and everyone else at the party. She also had a blast practicing her partnering with Mr. A!

We rounded out the night building a sand castle while we waited for the fireworks to start. We had such  blast! Thanks Dr. N for having us over!

"I wanna hear the dancers!" - Punkin every time the music stopped between numbers when we watched the DDPC rehearsal. She loved dancing to the music! My favorite part though was that she was too light to hold down an auditorium seat all by herself so we had to keep a hand on it so the theater seat wouldn't eat her up.

Then, after dinner, she really wanted to take her picture on this rock. Now, there are pictures where she looks more put together, but this one makes me laugh SO MUCH that it won out.

Airplane melt down. I guess that is what I get for waking her up at 5:30 for a flight. Then, we were too excited about riding a train (in the airport), an airplane, AND getting to see Grammy and Grandpa to sleep. It was a FUN plane ride for us, let me tell you!

Daddy took Punkin out on a date. She saw some other little kid do this on the playground for a photo, so she insisted on her own photo in this spot. LOVE IT! Makes me smile, every time!

A took us up to her school. We played on the playground and it was loads of fun. My favorite part was the outfit that my fashionista toddler decided to wear for this outing. (and yes, it was hot out. weird kid.)

We met up with one of KC's law school friends was in town for work at this funky, fun little place. (The restaurant is in a renovated garage, how fun!) The food was delicious. The company was even better. It was a delightful evening. (And old town Littleton is charming, albiet much smaller than the "old towns" I am used to.

Gracie, my car, turned 100,000 today. I got a little possessive and emotional about it. KC kept having places to drive, and when it got down to the last 3 miles, I told him I had to go too and I had to drive. Thanks for letting me cramp your style so I could be there for this milestone!  She's doing pretty well seeing that I got her back in 2001.

Who wouldn't feel safe with these two knights defending them? In other news, Punkin's latest habit that I love... when someone squats down to be closer to Punkin's height for a photo, well, she will squat down too. Super cute!

Temple Date Night! KC ran into tons of people he knew. It was fun. Plus our Red Mango run afterwards. So fun!

And then, to commemerate the drive, here is the Ft. Collins Area fire about 2 hours before we drove through the smoke. I hope they can get this guy under control soon. It was insane to drive through.

We had SO MUCH FUN on our whirlwind trip to Utah! Here is Punkin looking up to her soon to be missionary Uncle!  KC was sick/still had to study, so Punkin and I helped set up the goodbye party and played with the family!

 Wyoming is prettier than I expected based on how everyone talks about it. Though, I did sleep for about 2 hours. Maybe those were the boring 2 hours?

Family photo minus me, B and T. We were at Beau Jo's Pizza. It was a fun little spin on pizza, though I think next time around I'd want to try one with a BBQ sauce base.  Their tomato base sauce wasn't anything all that special. The fact that you use honey to eat the crust, now that was kinda special. Anyway, something fun to try next time you are in CO.  (Sorry about the weird window light coming in the background.)

Mommy daughter day! We had so much fun playing at the park, going to the library, watching movie, playing on the tramp, and so much more! There were even smoothies for dinner? How awesome is that?
